MIXOSMOSIS is a boutique hybrid analog-digital music mixing and recording studio in Sydney, Australia. An alternative for record labels, artists, bands, engineers and producers who want a studio that's an affordable, creative and comfortable place to produce, record & glue your sonic masterpieces together!

My name is Nathan Johnson, owner & in-house engineer. I've been producing, recording and mixing music, predominately indie bands and artists for 20+ years. I've also worked on various movie soundtracks and seminal music productions for both indie & major musicians and bands, plus many more albums and EPs that have gone on to break artists, with a long and varied local and international client base and credit list - please have a listen to some of my work. My philosophy on recording & producing & mixing music is I do it because I love it.

Located in the old Starkey's Ginger Beer Factory in Stanmore just minutes from Sydney's CBD, THE STUDIO is designed and built to fit inside the existing beautiful 100+ year old building. The old iron bark beams and turn of the century brick work is used as part of the asthetics and acoustic treatment. The control room is a large acoustically designed and balanced space with natural light and warm timbers. There is a great cafe directly out the front door & a huge courtyard to wander around in. Stanmore village is a 5 minute stroll up the road and the Annandale Pub is only 300 metres away where they sell cold fizzy brown malt drinks.

Plenty of free parking, the awesome equipment featuring both modern and vintage outboard, high end monitoring, a fully spec'd Pro Tools system and mixing console with custom designed outboard analogue summing, dedicated customer service and an experienced engineer who cares are all part of what makes this studio experience a special one.
